I have been working on a multithreaded application and I have been running it on my desktop machine as I am building it out. Everything seems to be running smoothly so I decide that it is time to move it over to my dual quad core zeon box to see how well it will do in that scenario. At this point I am just gathering metrics. I create the installer and install it on the box and as soon as I runn the app I get the following error “BadImageFormat Exception”. Not quite sure whats going on, I surmised that it had something to do with the fact that my desktop is x86 and my servers are x64, Now I know I compiled it using “Any CPU”. Should work I would think. Well I was wrong. In order for it to run on the x64 box, I needed to actually compile it using “x86” cpu selection. The issue was not so much the app itself as it was the 3rd party dll that I had referenced. If I removed it then all went well to a point (no work was really done).  So if you run into this issue try out this solution and see if it helps.

RadioTFS is back

Filed under: Team System — phacker @ 3:10 pm

RadioTFS is a podcast series that was started about 6 weeks ago between myself and Mickey Gousset ( We had a bit of a hiatus between the first and second show while we ramp up. The extended wait seems to have been good for us as we have picked up another host that will be joining us as we go forward. Martin Woodward ( and a fellow MVP has jumped in both feet first and has helped us out  quite a bit. RadioTFS is now available via Feedburner ( and is also available on iTunes. We are also putting together a website that our listeners can go to at . We are always looking for topic ideas, so if there is something that you want to hear  about, questions you want us to answer on air, or just general comments(good or bad), then please submit them to We spend a bit of time at the end of the show to answer questions and read feedback. Like I said, we are going to try and keep a schedule to around twice a month, but we are all ubber busy and may not make that goal, but we will try. Hope you like the show and look forward to hearing from you.

Indy Code Camp is live

Filed under: Team System — phacker @ 2:47 pm

On April 26th, Indianapolis, Indiana is going to host its first ever (that i know of) code camp. I personally know all the players and from what I can tell this is going to be an event you will not want to miss. There is only room for 250 people, so I suggest that you register right away to ensure your spot. . They are also looking for speakers and topic suggestions, so if you never spoke and would like to, like to speak and want more, have a great technology that you are passionate about, then by all means get over there and sign up and make a request. I am mulling over what topic I would like to talk about. I am thinking VSTS Extensibility, although that may be to specialized for this event, but then again….  Oh well I will think it over and probably suggest something cool in 3.5. Who knows. Either way I will be there.
