TFS Mixed Template with Deleted State

Filed under: Team System — phacker @ 1:21 pm

I have created many a custom template for clients and one of the biggest requests is for the ability to delete a workitem. I am not going down that path, but I do give them the ability to set the workitem to a state of “Deleted”. The next request I seem to get is for a template that combines some or all of the CMMI and Agile Workitems into a single template. Folks like to use the Requirements, Change Request, and Review especially. Since I tend to do some version of this often, I have decide to create a custom template called “TFS Mixed Template with Delete v1.0“that contains the Workitems from both templates, along with the state of “Deleted” added to all of them. I have also included the majority of the CMMI quieries and all the Agile queries with the Deleted state taken into consideration and a new query called “Recycle Bin”.

I have not updated the reports, so that is on you as well as an updated Process Guidance. Feel free to download it and modify it even more.
