James is currently Microsoft Office SharePoint developer for Ambassador Solutions and have been working directly for one of the top SharePoint Architects in the region.  He has been in the technology industry for about ten years now, mainly concentrating in web and database development in Microsoft Technologies.  I’m the founder of nSpin.net which is “.NET – SharePoint Developers of Indiana”. 

In the TFS realm, I’m relatively a newcomer, but being a Microsoft program and that it’s built on other Microsoft Technologies I’m picking it up fast.  I will be talking about how to integrate TFS with Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 and MOSS 2007.  I will have a live demonstration and slides (so we won’t have to “watch” it install for 2 hours).  I will welcome any questions regarding this, and any questions regarding MOSS 2007 or other technologies used.

Well we just wrapped up another IndyTechFest this weekend. It was a fantastic event. A special thanks to the organizers for all the hard work that went into it. I had two sessions this year VSTS 2010 and TDD in VS 2008.

My VSTS2010 talk had close to 20 people in attendance (first one of the day). There were many great questions from the audience and although my VPC locked up, it was well received.

My second talk TDD in VS 2008 was a full house around 40 people. It was really comforting to have a few people approach me afterwards  and stated what a great session it was. I was really nervous for this one(not my strongest talk).

Well we have our first meeting under our belt. I must say that it went off quite well. Daven Finesmith presented on an Overview of VSTS.

I was a bit concerned that there were going to be quite a few technical difficulties, but we actually had very few issues. It was good to see so many folks show up in SL. I do not think folks have truly embraced the technology yet and some still view it as a “game”. I was manning the Q&A queue while Daven was extolling praises on the VSTS stack.

I want to than the SL folks that helped out with the setup. These folks are great to work with.
